Rishi Kapoor : A Star for Four Decades
In conversation with Nasreen Munni Kabir

The enduring popularity and acting talent of Rishi Kapoor (affectionately known as Chintu) has added hugely in establishing the Kapoors as the most important film dynasty in India. From Mera Naam Joker in 1970, Rishi Kapoor has appeared in a variety of roles. Besides acting in his father's films, he has worked with many top directors, including Manmohan Desai, Yash Chopra and Subhash Ghai. In 1998, he produced and directed his own film, Aa Ab Laut Chalen. Recently enthralling both audiences and critics in Delhi 6, Love, Aaj Kal and Luck By Chance, he is one of the few stars to have a film (Chintuji) written about him and in which he plays himself.

This is a rare occasion to hear this wonderfully gifted actor talk about his life and work in a conversation with Nasreen Munni Kabir, Director of Hyphen Films, and a documentary filmmaker, who has made several series for Channel 4 on Hindi Cinema, Movie Mahal, Follow That Star, Lata in her Own Voice, How to Make it Big in Bollywood and How to Make a Bollywood Movie. She is author of several books including Guru Dutt, a life in cinema, and Lata Mangeshkar in her Own Voice.
