Holi in London, ISKCON in London, CRY HOLI party in LondonHoli in LondonHoli in London: Holi adds a dash of colour to the otherwise boring grey winter skies in London. Amongst India's innumerable festivals, Holi ranks as the most colourful. It celebrates the arrival of spring and marks the death of demoness 'Holika'. It is a celebration of joy and hope. The festival of Holi begins on Duwadashi, this is on the twelfth day of the new moon of the month of Phalgun. Coloured powder or 'Gulal' is bought and prepared. Families come together and people visit each other to perform the formal sprinkling of colour.
