Indians or NRIs in London: If you are an Indian in London or an NRI in London wanting to stay connected with India, there’s good news. Almost all Indian banks have NRI banking centres in London to serve the Indians in London. They all offer NRI banking and other services like NRI Banking, NRI Home loans, NRI deposits etc. for Indian Londoners or expat Indians.
Even the global banks like HSBC offer specialised NRI services from their London office. The best Indian bank with the largest spread and growing of course, is ICICI Bank. ICICI Bank operates more than half a dozen branches, mostly in London and around and is scaling its UK operations. It’s pity that Citibank doesn’t offer NRI Services through a branch in London. Though Citibank offers a UK based banking service that offers no charge transfers to your Citibank India account. The Citibank does have a few branches in London, though none offer specialised NRI Banking Services for the Indians in London.
